What
District illustrations for Danville's first zoning rewrite in two decades. Effective January 1, 2026, Danville's new Unified Development Code replaced a 2004-era ordinance — the regulatory follow-through to the PLAN Danville comprehensive plan. A modern code deserves to be legible, and a zoning district you can see is a zoning district you can use.
Proformus partnered with ZoneCo, the national zoning consultancy leading the rewrite, to give the code its visual layer: axonometric drawings that translate each district's intent — lot pattern, building form, frontage, and use mix — into a single picture a property owner can read without a planning degree. ZoneCo made the code clear on the page; our drawings make it clear at a glance. From manufactured housing to the River District, every district gets a face.

Each drawing works to a common visual grammar — consistent angle, line weight, and color logic — so that reading one district teaches you to read them all. The full code lives at the City of Danville and PlanDanville.org.
